Hello, my name is Isobel Sangha and my business is steadily going down the drain… in a good way! My small team and I make natural hand-made soap using the finest ingredients that are kind to skin and gentle on the planet.
Our Story
The Donegal Natural Soap Company began in 2010 when my son, then aged 2yrs, was at the peak of a painful battle with atopic eczema. In my search for relief and healing treatment, I began to research the products we used daily and what they contain.
I had a childhood steeped in nature and foraging and it soon became apparent that environmental factors play a key role in skin health. The lasting solution for my family had to start at home, with natural products. Skin is our largest organ, our greatest defence, and how we support it is paramount to skin vitality. It holds us together, keeps moisture in, infection out and shapes us”.
Isobel Sangha, founder of The Donegal Natural Soap Company, graduated from Queens University Belfast with a BE in Aeronautical Engineering. A lingering desire to work in the medical field led her to undertake an MSc in Bioengineering at Trinity College Dublin. After graduating, Isobel worked in the fascinating fields of medical device R&D and clinical research. It was there that she obtained invaluable experience in design, quality, regulatory and manufacturing that would later help her to set up her natural soap business.
Designed with purpose and with a holistic care for person and environment, Isobel’s products focus on helping people feel comfortable in their own skin; choosing ingredients that are dedicated to this. She is always in and looking to nature for solutions to her family’s health and well-being; happiest when donning her wellingtons to forage for a free hedgerow munch or identify a new wildflower or herb.
The company has gone from strength to strength, encouraged and supported by the positive feedback from her amazing customers who return again and again...
